The Appalachian Mountain Club hosts an audio-visual presentation by adventure traveler, explorer and photographer Jon Bowermaster entitled "Antarctica 2008." For five weeks Jon and his team explored the Antarctic Peninsula by sea kayak and sail to observe up-close how the Peninsula is evolving thanks to warming temperatures and increasing numbers of tourists.The presentation takes place at Westport's Christ and Holy Trinity Church and begins at 6:15 PM with a social hour with wine and appetizers followed by a hot pasta dinner, salads, dessert and coffee at 7pm and the slide presentation at 8pm. The cost is $10 per person.
