Welcome to CityCenter Danbury!
Danbury has always been a place about community and nowhere can the community celebrate with all its citizens better than downtown. CityCenter Danbury is home to the SummerNights, Concerts on the Green Series, the Farmers’ Market, Gateway Mural Project, the Taste of Danbury, Halloween on the Green, Light the Lights, First Night Danbury, and now the Connecticut Film Festival.
CityCenter is accessible by bus and train with adequate parking for those who come by car. We are within walking distance of the Western Connecticut State University (WSCU) mid-town campus.
At CityCenter, we are striving to create a place where the community can gather and celebrate, engendering the developments of arts and culture and we invite you to take in downtown.
Are you a bargain hunter? We’ve got a first-rate consignment shop, many Brazilian fashion boutiques offering high style at very affordable prices, and dollar stores that kids always enjoy.
Are you a lady who lunches? Before meeting with your gal pals for a bite, browse through Upscale Downtown, a great consignment store right on Main Street and ai mid-century modern funiture store with high style selectins. Or check out one of the finest dress stores in the area and the intimate apparel boutiques. There are many places to get a manicure and pedicure and Danbury Beauty Supply is sure to carry your favorite products.
Need to run errands? You can get shoes repaired and pants altered, drop by the hardware store, mail a letter and then get a haircut. It’s easy downtown!
Are you a foodie? Does the idea of foreign cuisine or exploring markets for authentic ingredients for that new recipe appeal to you? Downtown is chock full of ethnic restaurants and markets if you are interested in Brazilian, Dominican, Polish, Ecuadorian, Salvadoran, Mexican, Peruvian, Chinese, Colombian, Italian, and of course, American food.
Bring the kids to experience arts and culture. The Library, the Danbury Ice Arena, the Danbury Railway Museum, A Common Ground, and Escape to the Arts all have enriching programs for the younger set.
Enjoy the Music! Beside the CityCenter Summer Series, there are ongoing efforts to transform Danbury into a music city. City Ale House, Cousin Larry’s, Danbury Library, Empire of the Incas, Heirloom Arts Theatre, Icon, Sub Rosa Party, Sabrosura, and Tuxedo Junction offer live music.
Come visit us and enjoy what we have to offer!
