Minks to Sinks Fall 2008 in Wilton

Minks to Sinks, the giant tag sale that benefits Family & Children's Agency of Norwalk, is known as "the biggest treasure hunt in town," and takes place Saturday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, Sunday, from noon to 4 PM (Bargain Day) and Monday, also Bargain Day, from 9 AM to noon. The location is under the tents at Danbury Road and School Road in Wilton, one mile north of Wilton Center's tennis courts.   More >


Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men on Stage at Westport Playhouse

Westport Playhouse presents the play Of Mice and Men, based on John Steinbeck's 1937 classic book. It tells the story of two travelling companions, George and Lennie, who wander the country during the Depression, fantasizing about a better life. Tickets are $30-$65. Eugene O'Neill's Hughie at New Haven's Long Wharf

Eugene O'Neill's play, Hughie, tells the story of a small-time gambler, who wanders home to a seedy New York hotel fresh from a grief-stricken bout of drinking: Hughie, night clerk and once-captive audience for the gambler's tall tales, has died. The Long Wharf's production stars Brian Dennehy, leading American stage and screen actor, who won raves for his performance of the play at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.   More >

Halloween Owl Prowl & Campfire at New Canaan Nature Center

New Canaan Nature Center offers families a great natural way to prepare for Halloween, their Halloween Owl Prowl & Campfire from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Meet two live owls and learn how to recognize owl calls, then head out into the field to see if one of our local Great Horned or Screech owls will call in. End the evening with a campfire (weather permitting) and a chance to roast S'mores for an evening sweet treat. Registration deadline is: October 6th. Cost is $11 per person.   More >
