For 11 magical nights the outdoor spaces around The Maritime Aquarium will offer an incredible art display presented on glowing pumpkins.  Appropriate for all ages, the ”Spectacular” is more about being wowed, than scared.

Jack-O’-Lanterns will be arranged into “skits,” each with a unique theme and dozens of traditional jack-o-lanterns built around one or more intricately carved pumpkins.  Music, lighting, props and special effects complete the effect.  Visitors walk from scene to scene, enjoying wonder after wonder, as they wander the show.  The scenes will range from Hollywood Stars, pirates of the Caribbean, The Beatles” Yellow Submarine and a laughing tree tribute to George Carlin.

The Jack-O'-Lantern Spectacular will be held rain or shine.

To manage crowds, the Aquarium is selling timed tickets. We recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance to avoid long waits at the Aquarium, but we welcome walk-up ticket sales as long as space permits.

Admission times are every half hour starting at 6 p.m. The last timed admission will be at 9:30 pm from Sunday through Thursday and at 10:30 on Friday and Saturday nights.  The Jack-O’-Lantern Spectacular will remain open for 90 minutes after the last admission.

Price is $12 Sunday through Thursday.
$14 on Fridays and Saturdays.
Maritime Aquarium members receive a $2 discount.

Children under the age of 2 do not require a ticket. Because of steps and gravel along the path, we encourage that you carry small children in a pack. Strollers will not be allowed.
Wheelchair access is limited.

Tickets are available online and at the Aquarium ticket counter.
Group reservations for 10 or more are only available by calling 203-852-0700 ext 2206. Payment for groups is due at time of booking.

Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and may not be exchanged.

The event is held rain or shine.  Only if the show must be cancelled because of violent weather will there be refunds. Click here for more weather details.
