Just For Kids

Greenwich Hospital's Teddy Bear Clinic, September 14th, 2008, Fun and Learning

Here's a great way to teach your kids about good healthy habits, and to put a friendly face on medical care. Greenwich Hospital's Teddy Bear Clinic, now in its 10th year, familiarizes children with hospital staff and procedures and might even inspire them to join the hospital's healthcare team some day! It's a fun afternoon of hands-on learning.

Youngsters are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal or doll for evaluation and treatment by doctors, nurses and other health professionals from more than 30 hospital departments and specialties. Depending on the diagnosis, X-rays, ultrasound, surgery, splints or stitches may be ordered.

Children ages 3-12, accompanied by an adult, are welcome to visit the Teddy Bear Clinic. It's free, and healthy snacks are available. Meet Dr. Teddy Bear, too! Greenwich Hospital's Teddy Bear Clinic takes place Sunday, September 14th, from 12-3pm, rain or shine in the
Greenwich Medical Building Parking Lot, 49 Lake Avenue (behind the hospital.) Park in the Staff Lot on Lake Avenue. For more information, call (203) 863-3627 or visit www.greenhosp.org.
