The Bridgeport Bluefish, along with two new corporate marketing partners and food concessionaire Centerplate, will offer a new promotion that brings even further value to what is already one of the best values in Southern Connecticut: Each Monday and Tuesday during the 2009 baseball season, kids (12 and under) will eat for free at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard, courtesy of ABI-JAY Novelty Foods and Stew Leonard's, respectively. Apr 2 Legendary Writer-Director Paul Schrader at Stamford's Avon
As part of its 70th anniversary series, Stamford's Avon Theatre presents an evening with legendary screenwriter-director Paul Schrader who wrote the films Taxi Driver and Raging Bull and directed Affliction and Auto Focus, among others. The event includes a special screening of Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters, with added scenes and new narration as well as a Q&A with Mr. Schrader following the screening. The evening begins at 7 PM. Admission is $10.

Apr 4 - Apr 5 Brookfield Museum's Model Train Exhibit
Brookfield Museum presents its nineteenth annual Model Railroad Exhibition, from 10 AM to 5 PM, featuring more than six operating model train layouts from N-scale to G-scale as well as train collections, photos, railroad antiques, artwork, videos, and railroad memorabilia. Toy trains are available for children to operate. Admission is $4 for adults; $1 for children 7-14; children under 7 are free; senior citizens and Historical Society members pay $3.

Apr 5 - Apr 23 April Fools, Whimsical Art, at Stamford Art Association
Stamford Art Association presents April Fools, an exhibit of humorous and whimsical art. The 40-plus pieces on display - drawings, paintings, sculptures, and printed media - are sure to entertain. Winners are chosen by a popular vote at the opening reception on Sunday, April 5, 4 - 6 PM. The event is free and open to the public. The gallery is open Thursdays and Fridays from 11 AM- 3 PM and Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 5 PM.

Apr 11 Annual Egg Hunt at Stamford Museum & Nature Center
Children can hunt for eggs on a real farm at the 5th annual Egg Hunt on Heckscher Farm Saturday, from 10 AM to noon, at Stamford Museum & Nature Center. Children ages six and younger cam bring their own baskets and hunt for the thousands of eggs that are hidden all over the farm. At the end of the hunt, eggs can be turned in for goody bags. Admission is $8 for adults; students and seniors are $6, children are $4, children 3 & under are free.
