Jasmine Guy Raisin' Cane at Stamford Center for the Arts
To celebrate Black History Month, Stamford Center for the Arts presents star of stage, screen and television Jasmine Guy and the Avery Sharpe Jazz Trio, in Raisin' Cane, a theatrical portrait in prose, poetry and jazz at Rich Forum at 8pm. Originally conceived, written and produced by Harry Clark and Chamber Music PLUS, Raisin' Cane features an original score by Avery Sharpe and special projections showing Harlemites in everyday work situations and in joyful celebratory dance and musical jazz. Tickets are $25, $30 and $45.
