The Avon Theatre presents an evening with Neil Burger, the writer and director of The Illusionist starring Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti. The film will be shown at 7 PM and is followed by a Q&A with Mr. Burger. Admission is $15 for members; $20 for non-members.

The Westport Arts Center presents a candid conversation about what it means to be a composer in the 21st century, with composer Paul Moravec, recipient of the 2004 Pulitzer Prize in Music, and Vivian Perlis, the founding director of Oral History, American Music; a unique archive of interviews with leading figures in the music world, housed at the Yale School of Music, where she is a member of the faculty.
