This year's Westport/Weston First Night will be a world class bash, that will include the Urban Funk Spectacular, Steve Max with his Simon Sez Show, and the Oddfellows Traveling Circus. There will also be music, storytelling, Bingo, dancing, magic, drumming, a film festival, a kids' fair and face painters. Comedy will be continuous all day until midnight. More >

For the very first time, Bridgeport will be holding its own First Night throughout downtown Bridgeport on New Year's Eve, with 14 different performance venues. The 2006 theme for Bridgeport's First Night is A Circus of the Arts, in recognition of the city's long and illustrious history with P. T. Barnum and the city's emerging arts scene. Tarrywile's 4th Annual Winterfest will once again be presented in conjunction with Eastern Mountain Sports and will feature hiking, snowshoeing, hot chocolate and much more.
