Ridgefield Symphony Performs the Soldier's Tale and More

The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Gerald Steichen, performs a fully staged version of The Soldier's Tale, Stravinsky's rarely performed cautionary tale about the Devil's attempts to win a young soldier's soul. Also on the program are Stravinsky's Concerto in E-flat, Dumbarton Oaks and Haydn's Symphony No. 45, Farewell. The performance begins at 8 PM at the Ridgefield Playhouse. Children's Opera Theater's Little Red Riding Hood at Westport Library

Rebecca Frezza and Big Truck at Westport Playhouse

Westport Country Playhouse presents children's recording artist Rebecca Frezza and Big Truck, winner of over 10 major kids' music awards and seen on PBS "Kids and Noggin." Rebecca Frezza and her band Big Truck combine pop/rock, country and jazz styles, a sprinkling of world music elements and kid friendly lyrics. Performances take place at 1 PM and 4 PM. Full Moon Hike with Audubon Greenwich

Kids Explore the Orchestra at Stamford Museum

The Stamford Museum and Nature Center presents Exploring the Orchestra, mini-concerts for kids (ages 4 - 8) with musicians from the Stamford Symphony. January 11th's concert, Dancing Feet, will get children moving; on February 8th, they'll sing along to Twinkle Tunes, and on March 8th, they'll visit a Zany Zoo. The concerts take place at 1 PM and 2:30 PM. Tickets are $8 and $15 and include Museum admission. Three concert subscriptions are available.   More >
