Come Face to Face with Lincoln at the Bruce Museum

Greenwich, Feb 13th - Jun 6th

Opening February 13 and on exhibit through June 6th Lincoln, Life-Size will explore the rise and presidency of Abraham Lincoln on the human scale. Photographs from the period will be digitally enlarged to life-size and will be juxtaposed with the original photographs, glass negatives and daguerreotypes. Other objects on exhibition will further bring history to life including a Lincoln life mask, bronze sculptures, 19th century ephemera, and Civil War artifacts. School Vacation Workshops on the theme "The Life and Times of Abe Lincoln" from Tuesday, April 13 through Friday, April 16, 2010, for children in grades 1 through 3. Each workshop runs from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and is a complete program, but the four projects are complementary. These inclusive workshops are suitable for students of all abilities. The cost, which includes all materials, is $5 for Bruce Museum members, $7 for non-members, per student, per day. Reservations are required for each day; call

The Museum will also present a series of three lectures about Lincoln on April 6, March 11, and April 22, 2010. Lectures are free to Museum members and $5 at the door for non-members. Reservations are recommended. Call the Museum at (203) 869-0376.
