The number of Fairfield County towns celebrating July 4th with fireworks seems to be exploding. Since town hopping from one celebration to another might help the holiday burn even brighter, here is a list of planned events: In Bridgeport, The People's United Bank Fireworks begins at 9:15 PM on June 29th. Raindate is July 1st. In Danbury, fireworks at the Mall begin at 9:30 on July 3rd. Raindate is July 5th. In Fairfield, fireworks begin at darkness on the 4th at Jennings Beach. There is music beginning at 5PM. Raindate is July 5th. In Greenwich, fireworks take place on June 30th at Binney Park and at Greenwich Point Park. Raindate is July 1st. In New Canaan, fireworks take place at Waveny on the 4th, with a raindate of July 8th. Passes must be purchased prior to the event. In Norwalk, view fireworks at Calf Pasture Beach and Shady Beach on July 3rd. The raindate is July 5th. In Ridgefield, fireworks take place at the high school on July 4th. The raindate is July 7th. In Shelton, Riverwalk at Enterprise Park is the location for fireworks on July 3rd. The raindate is July 5th. In Stamford, fireworks viewing on July 3rd takes place at Cummings Park and West Beach. The raindate is July 5th. In Stratford, fireworks take place on July 3rd at Short Beach Park, beginning at 9:30 PM. The raindate is July 5th. Music begins at 7 PM. In Weston, on the 4th, fireworks take place at the Middle School complex, which opens at 4:30 PM for activities. The raindate is July 5th.
