The Leyte Dance Theater, one of the Philippines' premier traditional/folkloric dance troupes, appears in a special free Mother's Day concert at 6pm at Western CT State University's White Hall. The "Alay" Philippine Cultural Group of Greater Danbury is hosting the Leyte Dance Theater and encourages people to see this performance as a way to increase understanding of Filipino culture. Further support comes from the Danbury Cultural Commission and the nonprofit Connecticut Folklife Project. Admission is free but tickets are required for seating.
