Wilton Arts Council Announces Youth Photo Contest |
The Youth Division was created in 2006 in memory of Lenwood W. Freas, who was a very active member of the Wilton Arts Council and had served as vice-president. The Youth Division was created in Len’s memory to stimulate photography at an earlier age. Focus ’10 also contains a Student Division for high school students and Adult Divisions for amateur and professional photographers. It is believed to be the only photograph show of its kind in Fairfield County in which photographs taken by children, students, amateurs and professionals are hung in a single exhibition at the Wilton Library.
Cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded for first, second and third place in each of the divisions (youth, student, amateur and professional); ribbons will also be presented for honorable mention in each of the divisions. A reception will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Wilton Library, and is open to the public. Judges for Focus ’10 are Bruce Dunbar, Lawrence Frank, and Bo Parker.
