Stony Meadows Farm is proud to offer its 19th summer season of riding camp for children ages 5 and up. The size and excellence of their staff, ponies, program and facilities all combine to provide the camp and riding experience of a young rider's dream.
Comprehensive Equestrian Program
Their program provides a balance between mounted instruction and informal lectures and demonstrations. Riding instruction covers the basic skills necessary to enjoy and safely participate in the lessons, trail rides, bareback rides and games on horseback. They also teach each child how to properly care for his or her pony during the camp session.
Well Rounded Curriculum
Everyday activities and instruction are tailored to the age and experience of the campers as they learn about general stable management, feeding, grooming, tacking-up, tack care, anatomy and basic health care. Outside of the hands-on horse exposure, campers will participate in fun challenges like scavenger hunts, pin-the-part on the horse, horse jeopardy, and scrap-booking.
Fun Among Like-Minded Friends
At the end of the day, the goal is to make sure everyone has had fun and enjoyed the time spent together with others who love and want to participate in the equestrian sport.
